Seneca Falls – Rose A. Johns, 91, formerly of Clinton St., Seneca Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday (September 21, 2016) at Huntington Living Center, Waterloo, NY.
Family and friends may attend Rose’s Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday (September 28) at 10 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Patrick’s Church, 25 Center St., Waterloo, NY 13165
Rose was born in Seneca Falls, NY on January 9, 1925 the daughter of the late Pasquale & Virginia Palumbo DeRosa. She was a life resident of Seneca Falls and was retired from the former Matthews International of Seneca Falls. She also had been employed by Ginsberg Dress Company, Sylvania, & Seneca Knitting Mill. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and a former member of her church’s Guild and Altar Society. She was a former member of the Rumseyville Sportsmen’s Club of Seneca Falls. Rose loved to knit, cook, bake, & crochet. Most of all, Rose’s family was the highlight of her life.

Her husband, Pasquale “Pat” Johns of Seneca Falls, whom she married on October 17, 1946
1 daughter – Denise (Mario) Agnello – Seneca Falls, NY
1 son – Lewis (Glenda) Johns – Seneca Falls, NY
Her grandchildren – Jeffrey (Casey) Johns, Marci (Tim) McGinn, Krista Johns, Marcus (Chelsey) Agnello, & Marie Agnello
Her great grandchildren – Gabrielle & Mitchell McGinn, Rylee & Brock Calabrese, & Nicolas Johns.

In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by 3 brothers & sister-in-laws, Dominick (Eunice), Frank (Rose), & Joseph (Gina) DeRosa, 1 sister & brother-in-law, Mary (Tom) McCarthy, sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Rose (Lee) Ward & sister-in-law. Barbara DeMatties.
