Seneca Falls/ Waterloo - Roy G. Rossignol, 70, of 2595 Bauer Rd., died Sunday (May 6, 2012) peacefully at home.
In keeping with Roy’s wishes there will be no prior calling hours. The graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday (May 10), at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Waterloo. Lena Shipley, pastoral associate of St. Mary’s Church in Waterloo, will officiate.

Roy was born January 20, 1942 in Limestone, Maine, the son of the late Arthur and Edwina Berube Rossignol. He moved to Waterloo in 1962. He married his dear wife, Kathy, in 1967 and started his contracting career, establishing Roy Rossignol & Sons. He and his brother Allen worked along side one another for over 40 years as home building contractors. He was devoted to his career as well as a his wife and children. His life mantra was “early to bed, early to rise”, known for his early morning coffee trips. He enjoyed golf, visiting with friends, and taking advantage of each moment with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathleen Corneles Rossignol of home; three sons, Thomas (Denice) Rossignol of Fairport, Robert Rossignol of Waterloo and Brian (Megan) Rossignol of Shortsville; two daughters, Deborah and Dorothy; eight grandchildren, Remington, Wyatt, Austin, Brooke, Bailey, Kelsey, Amanda, and Timothy; five sisters, Gloria Miron of N.H., Laura (Richard) Marshall of TX, Gail Costello of GA, Elizabeth (George) Lee of S.C. and Carol (Floyd) Sewell of MT; one brother, Ronald (Judy) Rossignol of MO; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one sister, Norma Haskell; two brothers, Donald and Allen Rossignol.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo.
