Waterloo – Suzanna J. Jones, 83 of Burgess Road, Waterloo, NY, died Monday (June 4, 2012) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service for Suzanna on Thursday evening (June 7) at 7 PM at the Doran Funeral Home, 30 Center St., Waterloo, NY. There will be no prior calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. If desired, contributions may be made to Literacy Volunteers of Seneca County,1 DiPronio Drive, Waterloo, NY  13165

Suzanna was born in Breskins, Holland on May 19, 1929 the daughter of the late Pieter & Maria Tangie Datthyn. She had resided in Waterloo for most of her life. She was retired from the Holiday Inn of Waterloo where she was a waitress for many years. She was a member and past president of the Warner-VanRiper Post #435, American Legion of Waterloo and had been a volunteer at the Canandaigua Veteran’s Administration Hospital. She enjoyed, gardening, canning, reading, and her crafting.

She is survived by:

Amy (Chris Hilkert) Dix – Waterloo, NY
3 sons – William (Pamela) Jones – Waterloo, NY
Robert Jones – San Luis Obispo, CA.
Richard Jones – Waterloo, NY
12 grandchildren – Jarrod (Cheryl) Jones, Jocelyn (Joe Vanni) Jones, Mallory Jones, Dylan Jones, William Black, Donald (Brenda) Black, Heather (James Krasselt) Thompson, Kelly (Matthew) Valenti, Matthew (Stephanie) VanNostrand, Bryant Tumbelekis, Alexcia Tumbelekis, & Riley Dix.
20 great grandchildren
2 sisters – Betty Datthyn – Sodus, NY
Jeannette Clarke – Sodus, NY
1 brother – Verne (Sue) Datthyn – CT.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Abraham Datthyn and a sister, Nancy Nageldinger
