Sylvester “Tut” A. Campese, 64, of Fall St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Sunday (December 15, 2013) at his residence.
Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, on Wednesday (December 18) from 4 – 7 PM. A Memorial Mass for “Tut” will be held on Thursday (December 19) at 10 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, with Reverend James Fennessy a Celebrant. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions, in “Tut” memory be made to the American Red Cross, 83 W. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148 or a food donation to the House of Concern, 35 State St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148.
“Tut” was born in Seneca Falls, NY on April 29, 1949 the son of the late Joseph & Assunte “Suzy” Valentine Campese. He was a life resident of Seneca Falls and a graduate of Mynderse Academy, 1969. He was a retired corrections officer from the Seneca County Sheriff’s Department. He, also, had worked at one time for the American Red Cross of Seneca County.
He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, the S.M.S of Seneca Falls, the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge #992, & the Rumseyville Sportsman’s Club of Seneca Falls. “Tut” had formerly served 10 years as a village of Seneca Falls trustee. He loved woodworking which included wood carving. He just loved his front porch where he could be seen often enjoying the people as they past his home. “Tut” was a real family man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren.

2 daughters – April & Sarah Campese of Seneca Falls
2 grandchildren – Emily & Joseph Campese of Seneca Falls
His brother – Edward Campese – Waterloo, NY
His mother-in-law – Grace Cafolla – Seneca Falls, NY
2 brothers-in-law – Joseph John (Kathleen) Cafolla – St. Louis, Missouri
Michael (Donna) Cafolla – Rochester, NY
Patrick (Darcy) Cafolla – Seneca Falls, NY
Several nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, “Tut” was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Campese.
