Waterloo – Theresa M. DiLorenzo of E. Wright Ave., Waterloo, NY, died Wednesday (October 3, 2012) at Geneva General Hospital surrounded by her family. She was two days shy of her 91st birthday.
Family and friends may attend funeral services for Theresa on Saturday (October 6) at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Waterloo, NY where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterloo, NY. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 25 Center St., Waterloo, NY 13165.
Theresa was born in Ottati, Italy on October 5, 1921 the daughter of the late John Grieco & Matilda Guadagno. For over 37 years, she was the devoted wife of Luigi DiLorenzo of Bia Latina, Italy. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Waterloo and a long time member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Theresa was a widow for 30 years, unselfishly devoting her life to her family—her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by:
3 children – RoseMarie (Bruce) Ike – Waterloo, NY, Louis (Debbie) DiLorenzo –Romulus, NY and
Joanne (Jay) Koopman – Waterloo, NY
9 grandchildren – Christopher (Cara) Ike, Jeffrey Ike, Tricia (Steve) Budgar, Louis (Lindsay) DiLorenzo Jr., Lisa (Patrick) Patchen, Laura (Zachary) Page, Jarod (Carly) Koopman, Jessica (Mike) Passalacqua, & Jillian (A.J.) Trahms.
16 great grandchildren – Triplets- Carter, Trevor, & Madelyn , Christopher Jr.,Ike.;Grace Ike; Natalie & Benjamin Budgar; Miabella, Alessandra, & Louis III DiLorenzo; Lucas, Miles, & Tate Patchen, Luciana Page; Ella & Ryan Koopman.
And, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her husband, Luigi DiLorenzo who died February 6, 1983, their infant son, Patrick Louis DiLorenzo , and her sister, Irma Marino.
