Waterloo – Victor G. French, 87, of E. Water St., Waterloo, NY, passed away on Friday (January 5, 2018) at his home with his family at his side.
Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 30 Center St., Waterloo, NY on Wednesday (January 10) from 4 PM to 7 PM. Vic’s Memorial Mass with be concelebrated on Thursday (January 11) at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Center St., Waterloo, NY with Reverend Paul Bonacci & Reverend James Fennessy as concelebrants. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterloo, at the convenience of the family. If desired, contributions may be made to Waterloo Little League, P.O. Box 83, Waterloo, NY 13165.
Vic was born in Waterloo, NY on May 14, 1930, the son of the late Louis & Mary DePasquale French. He was a life resident of Waterloo and a graduate of St. Bonaventure University where he earned a dual Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry & Electrical Engineering,. He was retired from General Electric in Auburn, NY where he was a supervising engineer. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Waterloo, a member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Council #222, Seneca Falls and Waterloo. Vic served as a Village of Waterloo Trustee from April of 1995 thru March 2009. He was a member of the Waterloo Sportsman’s Club & the Waterloo Little League Association. Vic was a baseball umpire and coach, with a smile, for 51 years.

Jennifer (Mike) Neinast – Waterloo, NY
His grandchildren – Casey Kapp, Gabriel & Cody French, Richard McGee, Zachary & Danielle Neinast
His great-grandchildren – Mackenzie Kapp, Morgan & Kayla French
1 brother – John French D.D.S. – Waterloo, NY
He is also survived by his step-children, step-grandchildren, and may other family members and dear friends.

2 sisters, Rose Marchek & Linda VanGorder
