Waterloo - Vivian Alice Troutman, 86, of 22 Stewart Street, died Wednesday (January 25, 2012) at Geneva General Hospital.

Friends may call 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Sunday (Jan. 29), at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday (Jan. 30), at the funeral home. Rev. Sarah West, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo at the family’s convenience.

Memorial contributions may be made to organization of one’s choice.

Vivian was born August 28, 1925 in Yonkers, the daughter of  George Henry and  Emily S. Ryon Dressing. She attended Main Street school in Waterloo. She was a waitress at Sears in Geneva, and was a manager of the Seneca Drive-In concession stand. In 1958 she moved with her family to Buffalo where she was a manager of The Twin Drive-In for a few years. She was a waitress at Chase’s Family Restaurant for five years before working at H & R Block in Geneva as a tax preparer. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Geneva. She loved crafts, puzzles, garage sales and playing cards. She loved playing with her grandchildren;watching them learn and grow. She also loved her rosebush garden.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ralph Troutman Sr.; one son, Ralph (Nancy) Troutman, Jr. of Rochester, one daughter, Peggy (Gary) Bird of Waterloo, five grandchildren, Teri (Heath) Adams, Brian Bird, Heather (Bill) Millis, Nicole (Chris) Kaiser, and Amy Troutman, five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Myrtle Laquitara, Edith Hays, and Winifred Rotunda, five brothers, Henry Dressing, Charles Dressing, George Dressing, Richard Dressing and Daniel Dressing.
