Seneca Falls – Wanda B. (Kaye) Carter, 91, formerly of Fall St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Wednesday (July 3, 2013) at Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Waterloo, NY.
A graveside service for Wanda will be held on Friday (July 12, 2013) at 1 PM at Blanchard Church of Christ Cemetery, Blanchard, PA. With Pastor Russel Moldovan officiating. In keeping with Wanda’s wishes, there will be no prior calling hours. Wanda was born April 28, 1922 in Lock Haven, PA. the daughter of the late Charles & Anna Cummings Bitner. She was a graduate of Lock Haven High School & Lock Haven State College, Lock Haven, PA. where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She had resided in Seneca Falls since 1965 and was retired from the Seneca Falls Central School System where she had worked at the Mynderse Academy cafeteria for many years. Wanda was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Seneca Falls and a choir member of her church for over 25 years. Wanda had a great love for all animals, especially dogs. She is survived by:
2 sons – Joseph (Suzanne) Kaye Jr. – Lansdale, PA.
Charles (Ann) Kaye – Seneca Falls, NY
1 granddaughter – Kimberly (Bud) Workman – Mill Hall, PA.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph N. Kaye Sr. who died June 13, 1991 and her second husband, Lester Carter who died in 1996.
