Geneva Police made a second arrest Thursday morning (03.16.2017 at approximately 10:30am), of a suspect associated with the Burglary, Shooting and Assault of 2 victims at 71 Wadsworth Street in December. Darrick Settles was taken into custody at Monroe County Jail, Rochester, NY where he was being held on unrelated Felony Charges.
Three suspects planned and entered the Wadsworth St. residence and stole several pounds of Marijuana and a large amount of US Currency. During the Burglary two victims were injured. The investigation continues at this time and one additional arrest is expected.
Arrested Thursday was Darrick Settles, 24, of 28 Arklow Street, Rochester. He was taken into custody without incident at the Monroe County Jail on an Ontario County Grand Jury Indictment. Settles was charged with Assault in the First Degree, B Felony (2 counts), Assault in the Second Degree (2 counts), Burglary in the First Degree (3counts) and Robbery in the First Degree (4 counts). Suspect to be arraigned in Ontario County Court.
The victim, Adrian L. Porter, 43, of Geneva is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen that has resulted in several surgeries and a lengthy recovery.
A second victim, Reynaldo Dejesus, 32 YOA Male from Geneva also suffered injuries from the assault and was treated and released from Geneva General Hospital.
